Senior Researcher

Akhmadi holds a master’s degree from Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) and an undergraduate degree in economics from Gadjah Mada University. Prior to joining SMERU, he worked as a researcher at the Centre for Policy and Implementation Studies. His research experience include INOVASI: Diagnostic Study on Sub-National Education in Indonesia, Determining Comprehensive Criteria and Census Variables for the Protection of the Poor at the Local Level, PEKKA Community-Based Poverty Monitoring, and Rapid Appraisal for KPS (Social Protection Card) and BLSM (Temporary Direct Cash Transfer). His publication on education is titled “Patterns of Teacher Absence in Public Primary Schools in Indonesia”.
